Artist Refection: Make It Pop!
The strongest part about this pictures is that fact that the polaroid make the player stand out. It's almost as if she is 3D appearing. The only thing that I would want to improve on is making both arms break the fourth plain.
I think the easiest thing about this project was getting the photo. I've had the worst problems with this project. I've started over three times and I'm pretty sure the background was m least favorite things to do. It took me so long the get everything to line up together and to be even. I guess in the end it all worked out because I think it looks amazing and it's probably my favorite things I've done in this class so far.
I think the objective of this project was to break the fourth wall and I've done that, I also thing it was to change the background which is done. I worked really hard on erasing and placing each and everything single volleyball, number, and polaroid not this picture and from all my struggles i think the thing I would want to improve on is being more careful with my work and paying attention to what I'm working on.
Excellent job connecting the background visually and thematically to the foreground. Good use of the polygon lasso tool to create the illusion of something breaking the plane. When you have a chance try cutting the right arm out and see how it looks. Odd numbers usually work best.
